Volume 37 of Zeitschrift für Indologie und Südasienstudien published
At
the end of 2020, volume 37 of the Zeitschrift für Indologie und
Südasienstudien (ed. by Prof. Hans Harder and Prof. Ute Hüsken) was
published by Hempen Verlag. This volume also contains two contributions
by members of the South Asia Institute (Prof. Ute Hüsken, Dr. Justyna
Kurowska). Two further contributions (Heidi Pauwels, Stefano Pellò)
emerged from the event “Speaking Across Borders” in honor of Prof. em
Monika Boehm-Tettelbach (Jan 2018). More about the volume here

Mythos und Moloch by Johanna Hahn
CrossAsia-eBooks has published Mythos und Moloch: Die Metropole in der modernen Hindi-Literatur (ca.1970-2010) by Johanna Hahn. The study Mythos und Moloch examines Hindi urban literature in the period between 1970 and the present. Using popular myths such as the "deceptive city" (māyāvī śahar), characters such as the flaneur and places such as the tea stall, it shows how regional-language narratives form an interface between global and national discourses and local worlds of experience.
