Fimtrailer "Beggars of Lahore" by Sheba Saeed
The documentary examines the political, social, religious, economic reasons for begging as well as the growth of the beggar’s mafia including case studies of beggars and interviews with cricketer/ politician Imran Khan, advocate/human rights activist Hina Jilani, Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi amongst many others from both the public and privatesphere as well as the general public.

Prof. Hans Harder is for a two-year tenure the Acting Director of the South Asia Institute, Prof. Stefan Klonner (Department of Development Economics) holds the position as Deputy Acting Director.
