Two New Marsilius Fellows from the South Asia Institute

The South Asia Institute is pleased to announce the Marsilius Fellows for the period 2022-23: Marsilius Fellow Prof. Dr Marcus Nüsser and Young Marsilius Fellow Dr Joanna Simonow. Prof. Dr. Nüsser is working on issues of human-environment interaction, landscape change and regional development processes in the high mountains of South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. Dr Simonow is currently working on a nuanced understanding of the role of women, gender and sexuality in the global expansion of Indian anti-colonialism with her project "The Private in the Political: White Women, Interracial Intimacy, and the Global Pursuits of Indian Anticolonialism".
