Asha Archives (Āśā Saphū Kuthi) now accessible
The Asha Archives (Āśā Saphū Kuthi), a digitized collection of 7.025 manuscripts and more than 1.100 palmleaf landgrant documents on 54 DVD Roms, are now accessible at the library of the South Asia Institute.The manuscripts are mainly written in Sanskrit (ca. 70%) or Newari (ca. 20%).The collection covers a vast variety of subjects starting from literary works, dictionaries, medical and astrological texts to religious manuals and ritual texts.
