Important Notes
If you need a visa to enter Germany, please check in advance with the German embassy or consulate responsible for you about the duration of a visa application. Therefore, plan your application early enough so that you have enough time, including application for the degree program, visa application, travel preparations and "arriving in Germany", to be able to be in Heidelberg in time before lectures start. If you arrive late, you may not be able to attend courses in the first semester. Contact us in good time before the start of the lecture period and let us know when you can come to Heidelberg and whether you need help with course registration.
Once you have submitted your application for one of our degree programs online, please also apply immediately for a residence hall or start looking for a room/apartment on the private housing market (general information about how to find accommodation in Heidelberg). An admission letter is not required when registering for a place in a residence hall. You can submit it later.

For the detailed breakdown and amount of semester contributions for all students as well as for tuition fees for non-EU/non-EEA citizens, please consult the website of the Central Student Advisory & Administration Office. There you will also find information on financing your studies.
