Welcome to Ojaswini Shekhawat - Visiting Researcher from Yale University

The Department of Culture and Religious History of South Asia is pleased to welcome Ojaswini Shekhawat, a fourth year PhD candidate at the Department of Religious Studies, Yale University. Her project explores stories of love, gossip, and rumors in seventeenth century Sanskrit and Persian literature from North India. For the academic year 2025-2026, Ojaswini is on exchange at the University of Heidelberg, working on translating a few of the Sanskrit and Persian texts for her dissertation project, and participating in various conferences and symposia in Europe.
