21st International Conference on Maharashtra: Culture & Society - 19th to 21st of June

South Asia Institute, Heidelberg brings you three academic events on the study of Maharashtra between 19th June and 21st of June 2025. The SAI will host the 21st International Conference on Maharashtra, with academic presentations and discussions by international scholars (you can check the full programme in the link). Furthermore, on the evening of 19th of June, SAI will host the renowned thespian Dr. Mohan Agashe,  who will be showing and discussing his film “Dithee”. Finally, on the 21st of June, the SAI will welcome Henning Stegmueller to show and discuss his film "A Divine Play on Earth" that documents the contributions made to studies on Maharashtra by former SAI professor Günther-Dietz Sontheimer.
