An Act made further to amend the Companies Profits (Workers Participation) Act, 1968

Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Companies Profits (Workers Participation) Act, 1968 (XII of 1968) for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

Now, therefore, it is herewith enacted as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Companies Profits (Workers Participation) (Amendment) Act, 1995.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on 25th May, 1995/11th Jyaistha, respectively.

2. Amendment of section 2 of Act XII of 1968.- In section 2 of the Companies Profits (Workers Participation) Act, 1968 (XII of 1968), heretoafter referred to as the said Act, in clause (f) for the words "five thousand and five hundred taka" the words "nine thousand taka" shall be substituted.

3. Repeal and savings.- (1) The Companies Profits (Workers Participation) (Amendment) Ordinance, 1995 (Ordinance No.4, 1995) stands herewith repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, any action done or measure taken under the said Act amended by the repealed Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the said Act as amended by this Act.
