An Act made further to amend the Supreme Court Judges (Remuneration) and Privileges) Ordinance, 1978

Whereas it is expedient to further amend the Supreme Court Judges (Remuneration and Privileges) Ordinance, 1978 (XI of 1978) for carrying out the following purposes;

Now, therefore, it is enacted as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Supreme Court Judges (Remuneration and Privileges) (Amendment) Act, 1995.
(2) The provisions of section 2 of it shall be deemed to have come into force on 1st January, 1995 and the provisions of section 3 on 1st June, 1992.

2. Amendment of section 2 of Ord. No.XI of 1978.- In the Supreme Court Judges (Remuneration and Privileges) Ordinance, 1978 (XI of 1978), heretoafter referred to as the said Ordinance, in section 3, in sub-section (1), for the numbers "12,800", "12,000" and "11,500" the numbers "14,080", "13,200" and "12,650", respectively, shall be substituted.

3. Amendment of section 4 of Order No. XI of 1978.- In the said Ordinance, in sub-section (2) of section 4, for the numbers "450" and "425" the numbers "550" and "525", respectively, shall be substituted.

4. Repeal and savings.- (1) The Supreme Court Judges (Remuneration and Privileges) Ordinance, 1995 (Ordinance No.1 of 1995) stands herewith repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, all actions done or measures taken under the said Ordinance amended by the repealed Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under this Act.
