Act No.4 of 1994

An Act made to amend the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Act, 1989

Whereas it is expedient to amend the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Act, 1989 (Act No.22 of 1989) for carrying out the purposes mentioned below;

Now, therefore, it is enacted as follows:-

1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (Amendment) Act, 1994.

2. Amendment of section 5 of Act No.22 of 1989.- For the full stop at the end of the provision of sub-section (2) of section 5 of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Act, 1989 (Act No.22 of 1989), heretoafter referred to as the said Act, shall be substituted a colon and thereafter shall be inserted the following provision, namely:-
"Provided further that the Government may at any time cancel the nomination of a nominated member."

3. Amendment of section 13 of Act No.22 of 1989.- For the word "member-secretary" in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Act shall be substituted the word "Secretary".
