An Act made further to amend the Members of Parliament (Salaries and Allowances)
Order, 1973

Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Members of Parliament (Salaries and Allowances)
Order, 1973 (P.O. No.28 of 1973) for carrying out the purposes appearing below;

Now, therefore, it is herewith enacted as follows:-
1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Memebers of Parliament (Salaries and Allowances)
(Second Amendment) Act, 1987.

2. Insertion of the new Article 3C in P.O. No.28 of 1973.- After Article 3B of the Members
of Parliament (Salaries and Allowances) Order, 1973 (P.O. No.28 of 1973) the following new
Article 3C shall be inserted, namely:-

     "3C. A Member shall be entitled to import free of customs duty, sales tax,
     development surcharge and import permit fee during the whole of his term of office
     one car or jeep of such specification, and on such conditions, as the Government
     may specify in this behalf.
     Explanation.- In this Article, "Member" means any member of Parliament.".[Published in the Bangladesh Gazette, Extraordinary, dated 1st August, 1987]
