                              Act No.34 of 1987

An Act made further to amend the Presidential Election Ordinance, 1978

Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Presidential Election Ordinance, 1978 (XIV of
1978), for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

Now, therefor, it is herewith enacted as follows:-
1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Presidential Election (Amendment) Act, 1987.

2. Amendment of section 8A of Ordinance XIV of 1978.- In the Presidential Election
Ordinance, 1978 (XIV of 1978), in section 8A, in sub-section (1), for the words "not later than
seven days before the polling day" the words "within seven days from the last date of withdrawal"
shall be substituted.
