Alumni
Our Alumni Initiative welcomes all former students, academics, visiting professors and stipendiaries of the South Asia Institue as well as all former participants of our yearly Summer Schools.Heidelberg Alumni International (HAI) is a platform of Heidelberg University via which all alumni of the university may keep in touch. The South Asia Institute has its own group within HAI in order to foster the exchange between current and former students, members of staff and guests. Besides, every registered alumni of HAI is provided with an e-mail address free of charge (name.surname@alumni.uni-heidelberg.de).
For all alumni of the university who now live in India or neighbouring countries, there is also the alumni initiative Heidelberg Alumni India (HAIN).
Graduation Ceremony
Since 2013 we honour our graduates with a graduation ceremony in the Heinrich-Zimmer-Saal in the library. After the ceremony the graduates, friends and family can enjoy the Winterfest and have a good time with former students and teachers.
