Publication "Im Labyrinth" by Sara Rai
Draupadi recently published the book "Im Labyrinth" by Sara Rai (author, translator and journalist). Johanna Hahn (former PhD student at the South Asia Institute) translated the book from Hindi and wrote the epilogue. More information is available here.

Guest lecture: „Patna, Delhi and Germany: Reminiscences“ by Parasnath Choudhary
In the reading, Parasnath Choudhary will read excerpts from his as yet unpublished reminiscences of his life. His migration from poverty-stricken Bihar to its capital Patna and later to Delhi will feature in the reading, as well as his experiences of the socio-cultural scene in India, encounters with Westerners (most of them hippie travelers) from the 1970s onwards, and impressions of Germany.

Parasnath Choudhary, ex-employee of the SAI branch office in Delhi and free-lance journalist, has time and again published very interesting accounts of his experiences with Germany in both Hindi and English. He will read some salient passages from his English memoirs.
