Congratulations to Johanna Hahn
Congratulations to Johanna Hahn for successfully defending her doctoral dissertation! The viva voce on her work titled "Die Stadt in der modernen Hindi-Literatur (ca. 1970-2010)" (The City in modern Hindi Literature, c. 1970-2010) with her supervisors, Hans Harder and Christiane Brosius, was marked magna cum laude.

New publication: Hinglaj Devi
Dr Jürgen Schaflechner's first book, "Hinglaj Devi: Identity, Change, and Solidification at a Hindu Temple in Pakistan" has appeared with Oxford University Press!


This Heidelberg PhD dissertation of 2014 (examiners: Hans Harder, William Sax) was marked summa cum laude and is "the first monograph to address the beliefs and practices of Hindus in today's Islamic Republic of Pakistan" (cf. publisher's blurb)
