Research Project

Globalization, Mobility, and Migration - Transnational Identity Networks in the Bangladesh Diaspora and Integration

The project is co-funded by the European Commission's Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund (2020-2022) and is based on a partnership agreement between the Center for Asian and Transcultural Studies (CATS) at Heidelberg University (represented by Prof. Dr. Hans Harder/South Asia Institute and Prof. Dr. Anja Senz/Institute of Sinology) with the Competence Center for Communal Conflict Counseling of the Association for the Promotion of Education (VFB e.V.)

It is led by Dr. Dieter Reinhardt (Senior Researcher, SAI) and Prof. Dr. Hans Harder (Head of Department, Modern South Asian Studies, SAI) and conducted in cooperation with Azizur Rahman Khan (Scientific Advisor Competence Center Communal Conflict Consulting, VFB e.V.).

In the framework of the SAI lecture series 'Bangladesh Studies - Culture, Politics, Migration' (15.4.2021 and 23.7.2021) project results will be presented and speakers working on the project topic will be invited.
