Lalitpur Film Society
In collaboration with Sattya Media Arts Collective we offer weekly anthropological film treats. We are part of the Lalitpur Film Society whose main aim is to create on open educational platform for everyone interested in the art of film. Besides weekly get-togethers consisting of film screenings and discussion, the film society is engaged in organizing events and providing resources on the convergence between art and social sciences. The primary focus is on films and documentaries not shown in mainstream cinemas with a strong ethnographic and anthropological content: films that spark political, sociological and philosophical debates and films that question the world we live in. The film screenings take place every Wednesday at 6pm in the large garden of the Kathmandu Office.
