Geography of knowledge: Flows, spaces and structures

The importance of geography has received growing recognition within the field of Science and Technology Studies (STS). The production, travel, reception and impact of knowledge can all be located in a spatial context, that affects both its form and content. This course uses a discussion of selected literature to address topics such as the relations of global and local knowledge; flows of technology; agents and carriers of knowledge; structures like the laboratory and museum that create a spatial relation of knowledge, etc.
