Ruohyiang Wu was born and raised in Japan. At the age of 10, her family moved back to Taiwan and settled. She completed a bachelor degree in Philosophy at the Chungcheng University, including a year of studying abroad at Tohoku University, Japan. There she found interest in cultural related topics while getting to know people from different backgrounds. Experiences from attending courses and doing research in the different academic environments have motivated her to continue to study and investigate in those topics. Studying in MAHASSA, she is looking forward to combine the Medical Anthropology with her previous study to broaden and deepen her knowledge.
