Kunwar Rajiv

Kunwar Rajiv is primarily a media and public relations professional with Bachelor of Honours English and a Post-graduate diploma in mass communications from the University of Delhi and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi, respectively. During his days working in various roles from junior executive to manager, he acquired experience as a hardcore media person and public relations professional in the media, service and healthcare sectors. The key skills of media planning, public relations and corporate communication in a professional career spanning 13 years have been the defining factors in image-building, marketing and event organizing activities undertaken during his association with various health-based organisations like specialty hospitals, the media industry and other organizations in New Delhi. While strong inter-personal and communication skills have augmented his execution strategies at different work places, Rajiv has published work related to health and other issues of national and international interest in various English newspapers (The Times of India, The Hindustan Times, The Pioneer, etc.). Magazines in India have been yet another significant feature of his career so far. Besides his foray into print media, he has also worked as a TV Journalist for Doordarshan, India‘s national network. Pursuing the present Master level study programme encompassing ethnology and medical anthropology from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, is another realistic step toward the consolidation of his previous work exposure and is also an endeavour to combine that experience with media planning and public relations skills to achieve a high level of workmanship in a health-based Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) or other international organizations. Rajiv completed the MAHASSA program with a thesis entitled "Undocumented migrants' access to healthcare in Germany: Limitations and strategies".
