David Plessy started his academic career in the US, earning is BS in biology with minors in chemistry and anthropology. After visiting India in 2014, his interest shifted towards medical anthropology and social issues surrounding health. MAHASSA offered him the perfect opportunity to further pursue this avenue, while also living in beautiful Heidelberg. In 2018, David returned to India as a foreign exchange student at Jawaharlal Nehru University, where he conducted field research for his thesis.
