Reema Khalid

Reema Khalid is a social scientist from Pakistan. Having completed her Masters in Sociology from the University of Karachi, she worked for seven years in Research & Development department of various NGOs. She carried out different research assignments on health and education, child protection, youth development, issues of adolescents and women including marginalized communities of female sex workers, transgenders, persons with disabilities and with substance abuse across Pakistan. She is proficient in developing research tools, conducting field research, data management & analysis (using SPSS). She is well versed in using different statistical techniques to analyze and synthesize research findings for valuable insights and strategic recommendations. She has managed several projects including Voter's Education and Sponsor a Child Education Program. In addition she has been assisting in helping returnees from the UK, under "Choices" project of the UK Home Office, for social integration in Pakistan. Working with non-profit organizations improved her human rights advocacy skills to deal with the marginalized population for their empowerment and health prevention. She has joined the MAHASSA course as she believes that it will further equip her to contribute to the health sector more effectively.
