Baharak Zetzsche

Baharak Zetzsche graduated from Azad University of Iran, holding her Bachelor degree in Midwifery and a Master degree in Financial Management. She completed her Master Thesis on "Telemedicine Development and Entrepreneurial Opportunities of it in Rural Areas" in 2011. Immediately after completing her Bachelor's degree, she began working in a hospital as a nurse, midwife and also at the research & development department of the hospital since 2008, while she pursued her Master's studies in Financial Management. (2008-2011)

Due to her interest in medical anthropology, Baharak decided to study a second Masters at the University of Heidelberg after discovering the MAHASSA program. She aims to broaden her knowledge on social and cultural issues of health care in South Asia. Upon completion of the studies, she would like to work for a humanitarian organization focusing on health issues as well as on social policy in relation to health.
