Welcome to Mallory Cerkleski - Visiting Researcher from the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Italy

We are pleased to welcome Mallory Cerkleski, a doctoral candidate in History at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Italy, who has joined the South Asia Institute at the University of Heidelberg as a visiting scholar. During her time with us, Ms. Cerkleski will be working closely with Professor Kama Maclean, in her research, which explores the history of food rationing in Kerala, India, from 1939 to 1997, promises to shed new light on the complex relationships between food, politics, and society. We are delighted to have her on board and anticipate a productive and enriching collaboration.
