Guest Professor Indrajit Roy at Department of Political Science
The Department of Political Science at the South Asia Institute, Heidelberg University, is pleased to welcome Prof. Indrajit Roy as a guest professor for the summer semester 2026. We are honoured and delighted to welcome Prof. Roy, whose visit will enrich our teaching and academic exchange in the field of international and comparative politics of South Asia. During the semester, Prof. Roy will teach the seminar "Rising Powers in Asia: Politics, Economy, and Global Order".
This course will critically examine the idea of rising powers in a historical and comparative perspective, and delve into the contemporary aspects of India as a rising power in shaping global transformations. The South Asia Institute warmly welcomes Prof. Roy and looks forward to an engaging semester.
