On 8 December 2018, 4 pm, a panel discussion will take place in the Heinrich-Zimmer reading room of the South Asia Institute, which will address the question "Who is responsible for combating global poverty (Wer ist für die Bekämpfung globaler Armut verantwortlich)?". Together with Achim Drewes (Nestlé Germany), Heinz Fuchs (Brot für die Welt), Prof. Dr. Christian Neuhäuser (TU Dortmund) and Gabriele Reich-Gutjahr (FDP / DVP Delegate to the County Parliament of Baden-Württemberg) the question of responsibility for tackling global poverty will be discussed. The event will be moderated by Paula von Haaren (Research Associate at the South Asia Institute, Department of Development Economics) and Sebastian Burger (Academic Director of Studies of the Protestant Academy).
The podium discussion will be jointly organized by the Department of Development Economics of the South Asia Institute, the Evangelischen Akademie der Pfalz and sneep e.V. (Student Network for Business Ethics). It is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and by the Labor and Service Directorate of Rheinland-Pfalz.
