Prof. Sonia Amin

| Prof. Amin holds a PhD in History from the University of Dhaka and has been conducted significant research on Muslim Women in Colonial Bengal.
While in Heidelberg she will teach a class on Reformation in Late Colonial Bengal: Emergence of the New Women or Bhadramahila and also give a public lecture in January.
Prof. Amin has been on international professorial and teaching assignments at the University College, Boston as well as University of Hawaii, Manoa.
From 2013-2017 she served as Director of the History Research Centre, University of Dhaka.
