An Act made to further amend the Bandarban Hill District Local Governmnet Parishad Act, 1989

Whereas it is expedient to further amend the Bandarban Hill Disrict Local Government Parishad Act, 1989 (Act No.21 of 1989) for carrying out the purpose mentioned below;

Now, therefore, it is enacted as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act shall be called the Bandarban Hill District Local Government Parishad (Amendment) Act, 1995.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the date of 18th Pausha, 1401/1st January, 1995, respectively.

2. Amendment of section 16 of Act No.21 of 1989.- In the proviso of section 16 of the Bandarban Hill District Local Government Parishad Act (Act No.21 of 1989), heretoafter referred to as the said Act, for the number "910" shall be substituted the number "1640".

3. Repeal and savings.- (1) The Bandarban Hill District Local Government Parishad (Amendment) Ordinance, 1994 (Ordinance No.9 of 1994) stands herewith repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, all actions done or measures taken under the said Act amended by the repealed Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the said Act amended by this Act.
