An Act made to amend the Acquisition and Requisition of Immovable Property Ordinance, 1982 (II of 1982)

Whereas it is expedient to amend the Acquisition and Requisition of Immovable Property Ordinance, 1982 (II of 1982) for carrying out the following purposes;

Now, therefore, it is enacted as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Acquisition and Requisition of Immovable Property (Amendment) Act, 1993.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on 20th Bhadra, 1400/ 8th September, 1993, rerspectively.

2. Amendment of Ord. II of 1982.- For the words "twenty per centum" in sub-section (2) of section 4 of the Acquisition and Requisition of Immovable Property Ordinance, 1982 (II of 1982) shall be substituted the words "fifty per centum".

3. Repeal and savings.- (1) The Acquisition and Requisition of Immovable Property (Amendment) Ordinance, 1993 (Ordinance No.8, 1993) stands herewith repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, any action done or any measure taken under the said Ordinance as amended by the repealed Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the said Ordinance as amended by this Act.
