Alicia Finger was born in Poland and came to Germany when she was seven years old. Because of her experience as a refugee, her interest in other cultures raised in her early teenage years. After school she became a trained nurse and gained experience in psychiatric care. In 2015 she completed her Bachelor studies in Anthropology and Psychology at the University of Heidelberg focusing on Medical Anthropology, especially on mental and reproductive health. With the MAHASSA program Alicia expects to deepen her interests and to combine her anthropological and biomedical skills.
