Siran Liang was born in Japan and grew up in Shanghai, China. She did her Bachelor study in English at Shanghai Ocean University. She took one year off after her sophomore year and moved to Tibet as a volunteer teacher. Her transportation in Tibet was a horse named Little Potato. She also did an internship in Tibetan monastery and organised a summer camp for local Tibetan students. Her current focus is in reproductive health and sexuality education in South Asia. She aspires to create a line of biodegradeable feminine hygiene products that will be accessible to rural populations.
