Imogen Pierce grew up in Sydney, Australia and later moved to the United States. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience at Wellesley College in Boston, Massachusetts. During university, she received a grant and traveled to Cameroon, Africa to complete an internship in Global Leadership and community health outreach. Since graduation she has worked in a variety of fields both in and out of health care. She hopes to combine her background in Neuroscience, Biology, and Psychology with Medical Anthropology here during her time at the MAHASSA program with the aim of making a future impact on global health and social policy.
