Video and RNZ Article about Axel Michaels published
The online portal Latest Thinking published a video with Prof. Dr. Axel Michaels (Senior Professor, head of the Research Unit "Documents on the History of Religion and Law of Premodern Nepal" (HAW) and former head of the Department of Cultural and Religious History of South Asia of the SAI) on "Why Do People Perform Rituals?". Axel Michaels explains the importance of rituals in Indian society and presents his research in this field. The research findings were published in the book "Homo Ritualis: Hindu Ritual and Its Significance for Ritual Theory" in 2015. You can watch the video here.

In addition, the newspaper Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung reported on a lecture by Prof. Axel Michaels at the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities
