Welcome to Harish Naraindas
 | We cordially welcome Harish Naraindas to the Department of Anthropology at the South Asia Institute. He will stay till end of July 2017 as DAAD visiting professor. He is a Professor of Sociology at the School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Adjunct Professor at the University of Iowa. |
Harish Naraindas’ primary interests in the history and sociology of science and medicine have led to a number objects of enquiry: the emergence of tropical medicine as a discipline, the history of smallpox, a cross-cultural study of childbirth, medical tourism und Ayurveda.
