Scholarship by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung for La Toya Waha
 
In November 2014, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung awarded a scholarship to La Toya Waha for her dissertation project “Religion and State-Formation in Transitional Societies”.
La Toya Waha graduated at the South Asia Institute (Master of Arts in South Asian Studies) and since September 2014, she is a PhD candidate of Prof. em. Subrata K. Mitra, Ph.D. (Rochester, USA) at the Department of Political Science of the South Asia Institute. Her research interests are Political psychology, Comparative Politics, South Asian area studies, Rational Choice, Religion and Politics, Intranational conflict, and State-Formation in Sri Lanka.
