Workshop "The Vernacular City: Urbanism in Modern South Asian Literature and Film" on May 16, 2014
The workshop "The Vernacular City: Urbanism in Modern South Asian Literature and Film" takes place on Friday, May 16th, 2014 at 10.30 a.m. in the Karl Jaspers Centre, Vossstr. 2, Room 002 (Library).


The event is organized by the department of Modern South Asian Languages and Literatures of the South Asia Institute, in cooperation with the Forum Urban Spaces (ForUS) of the Cluster Asia and Europe.
This workshop explores South Asian urbanity and megacities from the perspectives of "vernacular" literature and film (mainly Bengali and Hindi).
