SAI researchers with expertise at meetings

Several researchers of the South Asia Institute are participating at upcoming external conferences and events. Dr. Christina Oesterheld and Jürgen Schaflechner, M.A. are represented at a conference (School of Philosophy, Munich) and Dr. rer. pol Siegfried O. Wolf moderates a conference at the European Parliament in Brussels.

From October 25th to 27th, 2013 the conference on "Pakistan in Focus" will take place at Munich School of Philosophy and discusses current problems and interdisciplinary research perspectives on politics, society and religion.
Dr. Christina Oesterheld (Department of Modern South Asian Languages & Literatures) participates with the lecture "Urdu - Sprache Pakistans?" at the second part of the event - research perspectives and Jürgen Schaflechner , M.A. (Department of Modern South Asian Languages & Literatures) with "Hindu-Gruppierungen in Pakistan" at the third part of the event - represented minorities in Pakistan. Both lectures will be held on October 26th, 2013.

In addition Dr. rer. pol Siegfried O. Wolf of the Department of Political Science moderates the conference “The Impact of Trade & Good Governance on Human Rights – Pakistan & Bangladesh" at the European Parliament in Brussels on the 5th November 2013 (4 p.m. to 6 p.m.). The event brings together members of the European Parliament (Thijs Berman, Jean Lambert ) and several guest lecturers.
