Abraham and Madheshiya at international festivals
 | The photographers Shirley Abraham and Amit Madheshiya are represented internationally this year and will pitch their documentary film "Like ants for sugar" at several festivals. |
The film shows encounters with showmen and exhibitors trying to keep their place in the vanishing world of the Indian travelling cinemas.
First Shirley Abraham and Amit Madheshiya will pitch the documentary at Meet Market at Sheffield Doc/ Fest (in June), one of the top three documentary festivals in the world. Later in June they have also been invited to the Sunny Side of the Doc in La Rochelle (France), a meeting place for international coproductions, to converge with film producers from all over the world.
