We invite all interested people to join the reading of Kerrin Countess of Schwerin´s novel "SHAKTI" on November 27, 2013, 6 p. m. at the Library of the South Asia Institute.

The online edition of the Süddeutsche Zeitung published on November 13, 2013 an interview entitled "Wenn der Sturm zu mächtig ist" with Johannes Anhorn, researcher at the Department of Geography of the South Asia Institute.

Three winners from various disciplines, which completed their studies at the SAI, were honored with the SAI-Award 2013, an association of friends and sponsors of the SAI, on 24th October, 2013. The price was awarded for the master's theses of Anna Lena Wolf (Anthropology) and Julia Poerting (Geography) as well as for the bachelor thesis of Almut Büchsel (History).

We cordially invite to the lecture as part of the colloquium, which takes place on Thursday, the 14th November 2013 at 6 p.m. in room Z10 of the South Asia Institute.

Professor Subrata K. Mitra, Head of the Department of Political Science, South Asia Institute, University of Heidelberg & Chairman, SADF will give a keynote address entitled “Rabindranath Tagore: A Global Prophet of the Post-modern” at Rabindranath Tagore - Centenary Nobel Prize Award Celebration, Brussels, on November 14, 2013.
