Information session with Darshi Thoradeniya on July 10th, 2014

On Thursday, 10 July 2014, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. the new Branch Office Manager of Colombo, Sri Lanka Darshi Thoradeniya is visiting Heidelberg and will be available at the SAI, room 317 to meet with interested students, and discuss with them the possiblities for work and study in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Lecture Series by Dr. John P. Neelsen on 03.07.2014

On July 3, 2014 at 2.15 p.m. Professor John P. Neelsen (Department of Sociology, Tuebingen University) will give the second Sri Lanka Lecture Series lecture on “The International Community and the Conflict in Sri Lanka” in Room 317, South Asia Institute.

Talk on "India's 2014 Election & the Media"

Jawhar Sircar is the Chief Executive Officer of Prasar Bharati, India’s national public service broadcaster and has previously been serving as Secretary of the Ministry of Culture. As such he is a prominent voice as to analyze the historic role of the media in the 2014 election. The talk will be held on Thursday, July 3rd at 6 pm at the SAI, Z 10.

Farewell-reception of Prof. Wiqar Ali Shah
