New in CrossAsia - the Naval Kishore Press Bibliography
The Naval Kishore Press was founded in Lakhnau in 1858 by Munshi Naval Kishore (1836-1895) and grew in the following decades to one of India's most important publishing houses. During Naval Kishore's lifetime the press published c. 5.000 titles covering literature in Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Persian and Sanskrit on subject as diverse as religion, education, medicine, school-books, translations of English classics, etc.

Lecture by Prof. Dharampal-Frick on 20.11.2015

At this occasion Prof. Gita Dharampal-Frick (Head of the Department of History, South Asia Institute) will hold a lecture entitled "Mahatma Gandhi und der Islam". SAI on Study Information Day on 18.11.2015
At this year's study information day on 18 November 2015, the South Asia Institute will participate with a lecture from 11.00-11.45 in the main auditorium of the Centre for Organismal Studies (INF 230/231). In addition, the South Asia Institute is represented with an information desk  in the building INF 252, like every year.
