The Social Science Baha (SSB), the Delhi Office of South Asia Institute (SAI New Delhi) and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation New Delhi (KAS) will co-organise a Joint Regional Conference on “Governing Youth in South Asia” in Kathmandu. It will be held on September, 22-24th 2013 at Hotel Shankar, Lazimpat. The Conference aims at bringing together scholars from South Asia and Europe with policy makers and development partners from the region. During this Conference participants from across the region will critically address and discuss youth policies of their respective countries. We will also present further findings from the Youth Surveys that have been carried out in recent years, in Sri Lankan, India and Bangladesh, as well as studies that have been conducted by individual scholars.

Following our Call for Papers we had more than fifty submissions from across the region, and we have invited about 20 persons for presenting their papers. During the Conference, there will be six thematic panels, as well as a Panel Discussion.
