Religion and History

This module deals with the cardinal principles of indian religious traditions including local customs, rituals and mythological and narrative literature. It consists of two courses in which different aspects of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism are introduced. A special focus here is the historical and regional contextualization of the religious and cultural developments as well as the recapitulation of primary and secondary literature.
